Phishing victims face repeated scam calls and texts

5 October 2026 · Source: theguardian.com

A report describes how people who entered details on fake Esta websites were later targeted again by scammers. In one case, a victim’s personal and payment information was taken, then used for repeated calls and texts that pretended to be from a bank or other trusted source. This matters to businesses because stolen customer details can be reused in follow up fraud, impersonation, and social engineering attempts. Sender Registry helps companies spot suspicious sender patterns, reduce the risk of fake messages reaching staff or customers, and make it easier to assess whether an email is likely to be part of a wider scam campaign.

How Sender Registry helps

Impersonation Radar watches certificate logs for lookalike domains the moment they are registered, so a fake is caught before it is ever used against you.
