Florida agencies report separate data breach incidents

30 October 2026 · Source: clickorlando.com

A Seminole County courthouse office said its phone systems and website were affected by a breach, then cut off outside internet access while it investigated. The office said it found no ransomware and no evidence that information was compromised. In a separate case, Florida’s Department of Education said a breach on its financial aid website may have exposed Social Security numbers for students among a much larger group of people affected. For businesses, incidents like these can lead to follow up phishing emails, fake account update requests, and impersonation attempts that use the breach as cover. A service like Sender Registry helps companies spot suspicious messages, verify sender identity, and reduce the chance that staff or customers are tricked by scam emails tied to a real event.

How Sender Registry helps

Impersonation Radar watches certificate logs for lookalike domains the moment they are registered, so a fake is caught before it is ever used against you.
